Pedrosa Beats Heat For Win; American Spies Finishes Second
Spaniard Dani Pedrosa spoiled the American riders' party on a hot day Aug. 29 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, winning the 2010 Red Bull Indianapolis GP MotoGP race for the first time at the Speedway's 2.621-mile road course. Ben Spies, of Longview, Texas, finished second after capturing his first career MotoGP pole.

MotoGP Returning To Indianapolis In 2011
The Red Bull Indianapolis GP MotoGP motorcycle race, featuring the intense action and over-the-top personalities of the MotoGP World Championship, will return to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in August 2011. The fourth annual MotoGP event at the "Racing Capital of the World" is scheduled for Friday, Aug. 26 through Sunday, Aug. 28.

Stoner Leads Red Bull Indianapolis GP Practice; Hayden Third
Australian rider Casey Stoner led the first round of MotoGP practice Aug. 27 at the Red Bull Indianapolis GP, but American riders occupied three of the top eight positions at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. 2007 MotoGP World Champion Stoner was the only rider to break into the 1 minute, 40-second bracket with a fast lap of 1:40.884 on the No. 27 Ducati Team motorcycle.

Dominant Lorenzo Rolls Into Indy After Czech Victory
Defending Red Bull Indianapolis GP winner Jorge Lorenzo continued his historic season by earning his seventh victory in 10 starts this season for the Fiat Yamaha Team, winning the Czech Republic Grand Prix on Aug. 15 at Brno. Lorenzo, who started third, took the lead from pole sitter Dani Pedrosa on the first of 22 laps and beat Pedrosa to the finish by 5.494 seconds.

American Standout DiSalvo To Ride Moto2 Wild-Card Entry At Indy
American rider Jason DiSalvo will compete in the Moto2 class at the Red Bull Indianapolis GP on Aug. 27-29 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as a wild-card entry. DiSalvo, 26, from Stafford, N.Y., will ride an FTR M210 backed by GP Tech in Moto2, which features motorcycles with 600cc Honda engines and Dunlop tires. Former racer Geoff Maloney is managing the team.

Motorcycle fans can see the exotic machines of World Championship motorcycle racing up close during the Red Bull Indianapolis GP Pit Walkabout on Friday, Aug. 27 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. The Pit Walkabout takes place from 9-10:45 a.m. and is free to all Friday ticket holders.
